Kat has a broad and diverse background in media production. While still in college in the U.S., she interned as an assistant story editor in New York, reading novels and scripts for potential film adaptation. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and worked in digital visual effects before becoming a production supervisor at DreamWorks Animation, contributing to feature films such as The Prince of Egypt and Shrek.

After meeting her Canadian husband and relocating to Vancouver, Kat transitioned into video game production at Electronic Arts, where she managed teams of artists across multiple titles. In 2009, she left EA to co-found a production company with her husband, initially focusing on creating videos for non-profits. To nurture their creative ambitions, they also produced children’s music videos, which were later licensed by CBC Kids. Today, their company focuses on kids’ TV and child-related non-profits. The company tagline is “making meaningful fun.”

Kat was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on the PBS series Design Squad Global. In addition to her music videos for CBC Kids, she has produced content for TVOKids, YouTube Originals, PBS, Universal Kids, Sesame Workshop, Peacock Jr, Treehouse, Shaftesbury Kids YouTube, Telus Optik, Headspinner Kids YouTube, Kidoodle TV and Yippee TV.
