COHORT 5 PARTICIPANT

Priyanka Shailendra is a Toronto-based producer, writer, and director with over 15 years of experience in the Indian film industry. Since relocating to Canada, she has built an impressive slate of work, producing and directing shorts such as Dark Memories (IFFSA 2024) Queen Mother, The Trial and Boutique showcased at a number of prestigious festivals. An alum of the CMPA Producer’s Mentorship Program, she also served as assistant showrunner on Potluck Ladies and was selected for the Canadian Film Centre’s Producer Lab 2024 followed by the Big Pitch at TIFF 2024 where she pitched her feature film Frozen, and is currently part of the Realscreen NATPE Mentorship Program as she continues to produce.
She just received the Bell Slate Development fund through which she is currently developing her show titled Deception. Her work champions bold, diverse storytelling with global resonance.
