Jennifer Beasley is a WGC-nominated writer and producer with more than a decade of experience in scripted television. She began her career in Toronto working in various production departments before transitioning to writing and development, a path that eventually brought her to Winnipeg, where she now lives with her family.
From 2016 to 2024 Jennifer served as a senior development and production executive, and later Executive Producer/Producer, at Buffalo Gal Pictures, one of Canada’s most respected independent studios. During her tenure she helped shepherd numerous acclaimed projects, including the award-winning comedy Less Than Kind, the hit CTV series Acting Good, the light procedural The Spencer Sisters, and Guy Maddin’s feature Rumours starring Cate Blanchett, which premiered at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
In January 2025 Jennifer launched her own company, Fiasco Global Media, an independent development studio dedicated to creating premium comedy and drama that originate in Canada but resonate worldwide. Under the Fiasco banner she oversees a growing slate of original and adapted series, working closely with Canadian broadcasters and international partners.
Jennifer combines a writer’s creative instincts with a producer’s business acumen, leveraging deep industry relationships in Canada and the United States to develop distinctive, exportable television that champions diverse voices and connects with audiences around the globe.
