Lauren Corber is an International Emmy-nominated producer and founder of LoCo Motion Pictures. The company produces audience driven content for all platforms, pushing boundaries by fostering creators with unique and innovative points of view with an emphasis on stories targeted to women.
One of Canada’s leading digital content producers, Lauren has produced four comedy series for CBC including Canadian Screen Award-winning, "How to Buy a Baby", that has been formatted into a Swedish half-hour series called Alla Utom Vi (Discovery+). She also produced two seasons of "My 90-Year-Old Roommate" starring Paul Soles (Peter Parker/Spider-Man) that garnered more than one million views and is a Webby Awards Honoree. Lauren’s comedy series, "The Communist’s Daughter" won the 2021 Web Series World Cup and was nominated for six Canadian Screen Awards. LoCo’s latest series, "I Hate People, People Hate Me" premiered at Tribeca in 2023 and was nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards. Lauren is in post-production on the comedy series, "My Dead Mom" for Crave starring Lauren Collins (Degrassi: The Next Generation) and Megan Follows (Anne of Green Gables).
LoCo expanded into the youth market with Kidscreen Award and Canadian Screen Award-winning tween action/adventure series "Detention Adventure" (CBC Gem), which is licensed in more than 125 territories and received 15 nominations, winning Best Youth Series at the 2023 Canadian Screen Awards.
A recovering entertainment lawyer, Lauren is on the CMPA Board of Directors and an alumnus of the CFC Producers’ Lab, NSI Totally Television, Bell Media Executive Producer Accelerator Lab.
