COHORT 4 PARTICIPANT

Since entering the motion picture industry over 20 years ago, I have produced and directed in every screen-based medium from feature films, shorts, and scripted series to documentaries, music videos, and branded content. I've had the pleasure of working with networks such as CBC, YTV, TFO, APTN, TVO, Amazon Studios, Unis, and Lifetime. I was a producer of the award-winning documentary, The Fruit Machine, for TVO; Noël en boîte, a Telefilm feature film; and two seasons of Qanurli for APTN, an interprovincial/territorial coproduction between SandBay Entertainment and Qanukiaq Studios. My latest completed documentary was The Colour of Music for CBC, of which I was the Producer, Writer, Director, and Editor. I'm currently in post-production on a feature documentary, The Mush Hole, about the first and longest-running residential school in Canada, The Mohawk Institute.
I began my career as a Wardrobe Assistant and found it difficult navigating the industry as a young woman of colour. However, with the guidance and support of female peers and executives, I worked my up the ladder and I'm proud to be the President of SandBay Entertainment, an all-female production company.
