Fennella Bruce is a veteran television news producer and writer who is now at the helm of FKB Media Solutions – a media consulting company and FKB Media Productions Inc – a television and film production company.
Having worked in the field of journalism for over 20 years, Fennella has produced both of Canada’s national morning shows – Your Morning and Canada AM. She has been the senior writer or producer at CTV News Channel, CTV National, CP24, CityTv, Toronto 1 and BET.
More recently under FKB Media Productions Inc, she has produced The Black Diamond Ball (aired on Citytv/Rogers TV, 2022-24), In The Director’s Chair with Frances-Anne Solomon (aired on CaribbeanTales TV) and Miami Broward Carnival Live Stream.
Fennella was also part of the team that conceptualized and structured CP24, Toronto 1, Your Morning and the rebrand of Canada AM. In October, Fennella is receiving the 2024 University of Toronto Scarborough Alumni Inclusive Excellence Award and the 2024 ReelWorld Visionary Award. She has received the 2023 Rogers-IABC Communicator of the Year, 2022 Businesswoman of the Year presented by Women Empowerment Awards and is a 2020 recipient of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women Award. She placed 2nd in the TIFF/Caribbeantales Big Pitch Competition for Backbone – a documentary about Canadian Hip Hop Icon Maestro Fresh Wes.
Her community work includes Chair of the Foundation Board of Women in Film and Television- Toronto (WIFT-T+) and former Vice Chair of the Board for Dr. Roz's Healing Place.
