Allison Grace is a seasoned producer with over 25 years of experience developing and producing non-fiction television and award-winning documentaries for the international market.
Allison is currently producing a feature documentary for the CBC Documentary Channel, Anti-Diva: The Carole Pope Confessions, following the 79 year-old rock legend and queer icon Carole Pope.
As the VP of content at Proper Television (a division of Boat Rocker Media) for the past 11 years she executive produced over 100 of hours of television including a number of original series and international formats for the Canada, U.S. and International markets including LOST CAR RESCUE for History Channel and Hulu and the multiple Canadian Screen Award winning series, MARY’S KITCHEN CRUSH and MARY MAKES IT EASY for CTV Life and Food Network in the U.S..
Prior to joining Proper, Allison was a Production Executive at Shaw Media overseeing multiple cross-platform hit shows for HGTV, FOOD Network, and SLICE.
Allison recently left her position at Proper to start an independent content and media production company, Here’s The Thing Productions, to seek out great ideas from unlikely sources and collaborate with and champion new talent and creators. The company focuses on creating ground-breaking narrative, comedy and factual content with a particular interest in female-led stories.
