Lauren MacKinlay

Lauren MacKinlay is an award-winning producer based in Toronto. She recently served two seasons as the Supervising Producer of the Sphere Media medical drama Transplant (CTV/NBCUniversal). Previously, she was Associate Producer on 19–2 (CTV) and Bad Blood (Netflix), and was nominated for a 2017 Canadian Screen Award for Best Cross-Platform Project - Fiction.

In 2019, Lauren was one of four producers selected for the National Screen Institute of Canada’s Features First Program and in 2021, was one of six selected for the Whistler Film Festival’s Producers Lab. Under her independent production company MacKinlay Media, she has received development support from the Harold Greenberg Fund for the independent feature films In Vein, a queer thriller by writer/director James Fanizza, and the romantic comedy Rearranging by Julia Rowland. She has produced half a dozen short films which have toured the festival circuit and won prizes internationally.

Lauren is also one of the co-founders of the non-profit organization Women On Screen, where she collaborates on and oversees programming that encourages a greater representation of women in the entertainment industry. She is an Executive Producer of the podcast Women On Screen Out Loud, an entertainment podcast featuring women who challenge, motivate, and inspire on all sides of the camera.
