Nicola is an independent producer, film programmer and communications expert based in Calgary. She has worked with film festivals and artist run centres across Canada, including the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers (CSIF), the $100 Film Festival, Calgary Underground Film Festival, Calgary Cinematheque, Regent Park Film Festival, and Reel Asian Film Festival. She produced the feature film Events Transpiring Before, During, and After a High School Basketball Game through Telefilm Canada's 2018 Talent to Watch Program and has recently completed a documentary for CBC about orphaned oil wells in Alberta, directed by Gillian McKercher.
