COHORT 3 PARTICIPANT

Natasha Semone Vassell has worked exclusively on international co-productions. Her current slate is currently being supported by Telefilm Canada, Ontario Creates. Natasha has lived and worked in Europe for over a 10 year period and she splits her time between Toronto, Canada, and Germany. Natasha has recently acquired the option for a Canadian novel titled “THROUGH THE SAD WOOD OUR CORPSES WILL HANG”, by Ava Farmehri. The project has received From Page to Screen Option Support from Ontario Creates and development support from Telefilm Canada and Ontario Creates. This project will be an international co-production. Media is attached for World sales. She was the lead co-producer on a film titled TOMB which was showcased at the Tobago Film Festival 2016. The film is one of the first Caribbean science fiction films to be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in 2017.


Natasha is also a producer on a Scandinavian co-production (Norway, Sweden) titled RUN. The project has also been awarded development funding from Eurimages and the Indigenous Screen Office in Canada. Natasha was also selected to participate in the Junior Entertainment Talent Showcase held during the Berlin International Film Festival in 2019.
