COHORT 3 PARTICIPANT

Carmen is a native of Concepcion, Chile and a published author of Spanish short fiction and poetry. She studied linguistics at the Universidad de Concepcion, and was a translator for Canadian companies in Chile, before coming to Canada in 1987. From 1988 to 1992, Carmen studied English and Film Studies at the University of Manitoba. From 1990 to 1994 Carmen lived in Japan developing educational and cultural multimedia for various elementary schools. She returned to Canada in 1994 to pursue a career in film and multimedia production. Graduating from the Vancouver Film School in 1995 Carmen co-founded RealWorld Media Inc. Carmen has written, produced, directed and edited numerous multimedia, video and broadcast projects since 1996.
