COHORT 3 PARTICIPANT

Ania Jamila is an emerging film producer and the Co-founder of Sahkosh Productions. After studies in Film at the University of Montreal, and attending various workshops (surrealist cinema in Paris, Actor direction with Lea Pool), she was a finalist at the National Film Board Tremplin contest in 2018. That same year Ania Jamila was selected as part of the first cohort of the Banff Diversity of Voices. In 2020, her short form documentary film was selected at Hot Docs during the Al Jazeera Short Pitch.
Ania's projects of predilection can be documentary of narrative, short or long form, series or one-offs, as long as the human stories are making the invisible visible or giving a voice to under-represented communities.
