Carmen Forsberg

With a background in advertising, first as an assistant director and then as producer for many high profile commercial productions, Carmen moved to Vancouver from her native country Peru. She worked closely with Dolby Canada’s Image and Research Technology Department in the development of HDR software, led the structuring and implementation of a state of the art CGI/VFX post-secondary educational program and facility in South America, and currently collaborates with partner Adam Mars on national and international service projects for Silverlight Entertainment. Recent clients include The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, OCEAN SCHOOL for the NFB and Dalhousie University, PROMPERU (strategic agency to promote tourism to the country of Peru), amongst others. As producer of original content she’s led crews through the Andes Mountains at 4,700 meters above sea level in the award winning documentary “Q’oyllur Ritti”, been recipient of “Air Canada’s Destination Inspiration Award”, and optioned award winning literary work to further develop for the screen. Her ties to Latin America have allowed her to continue expanding the business and collaborating with fellow producers, creatives and executives across all sectors. She holds the position of Secretary of the Board at Parents for Spanish Language Association in Vancouver, Vancouver’s oldest running Spanish Language school. She’s alumni of the University of British Columbia’s Film Production Program, as well as the University of Lima’s Communication Sciences Program.
