A former news reporter-turned-film-house president, Tara Yolan Mewis has crafted stories for nearly 20 years. Her unique and varied skillset allows her to produce content from ideation to completion while working in every role along the way. Tara has helped written, filmed and edited a number of television docuseries and corporate productions of all sizes. She loves character-driven stories and has interviewed thousands of people over her career. Her company, Honey Cut Studios, employs 80% women (those who identify as women or they) and ensures that everyone is trained in every area of the filmmaking process. This unique formula retains employees and gives them the ability to excel in any aspect of production. Tara continues to grow both her family and her production company while hoping to inspire other women to do the same.
