COHORT 3 PARTICIPANT

Magali Gillon-Krizaj, born and raised in Montreal, is a Vancouver producer. She has over 20 years of experience in the film & television industry. Her film producing credits include Invasions (a Telefilm CoPro with Switzerland, 2021) and The Cannon (WIFF 2017; CFF 2018) which won Best Actor UBCP/Actra Awards 2018 and was released in 2020 across Canada, the US and UK. She’s currently in development with the features Eddie (selected at JETS 2021- Berlin) and Hard Done By who are both supported by Telefilm development funding.
Her most recently TV project is Citoyen 2.0 (13ep x 24min French TV series) airing on UnisTV 2021-22 and available on Tou.TV . She’s also known for her 6h-documentary series called Terres d'exploration/ Uncharted Canada made for TV5 and Knowledge Network, which was nominated twice at Les Prix Gémeaux for best series in 2017 & 2018 and twice at Leo Awards which won Best Cinematography in 2018 and won Best Screenwriting in 2019. She’s also produced the 1st season of the web-series called The Drive in 2016 which won “Best web series” and “Best actress” at the Leo Awards and “Best Director and Actress” at the Vancouver Web Festival in 2016.
Magali was selected for the: 2021 Jets Co-Pro initiative program in Berlin; 2018 Rotterdam Co-producing Lab; 2018 OnScreen Manitoba Mentor for development of projects; Telus Optik Fellowship at Banff World Media 2016; On Screen Manitoba & Unis’ mentorship program for emergent producer 2015; WIFTV ‘Production Management for the Independent Producer’s mentorship 2014.
